So Saturday was Lydia's first birthday! I can't believe it has been a year since she came!! It was a fun day and we got to spend some time with Grandmas and Grandpas!! Lydia had a good time and got quite the haul!
Opening presents went well, but we had to play with each one before we could move on to the next one!
I'm not sure if the presents are the main event, or the wrapping materials!
And of course, everyone loves to tear paper!
Being Earl's child, we of course had to break her into the music arena--unfortunately, the bottom note is a little flat! Hopefully that won't lead to tone deafness in the future!
So, this is my first attempt at a birthday cake! I do have to say that I think it turned out quite nicely...but really, most of the credit has to go to my sister Chalice. She did all the hard stuff!

Then we had to pull out the antenna and we let cousin Michael join in the taste testing.
