Family Fun at the Zoo!!

So the first weekend in May, Lydia and I went to the zoo with our cousins, Mack and Michael Codi (Addison stayed home with Grandma), and our Aunts and Uncles (Broc, Amy, Chalice, Michael, Karissa, Jason, Carlyn, Steven (our soon to be uncle!) and Kordel)! As you can tell, it was a little RAINY! Heck, forget rainy, it was a MONSOON!!

Here are the love birds in front of the great sleeping elephant!

Lydia doesn't know what to make of the animals. She basically just stares at them and you can see that she is trying to figure out what they are exactly! But we sure have fun together!

Lydia and Aunt Rissy are super good friends! And they are both as skinny as the giraffes behind them as well! Wish I had those bodies!

Here we are saying hello to the tigers!

The boys (including Kordel) really enjoyed themselves and seeing all the different animals! The couldn't wait to see the next one as soon as we started walking away from the last one!

We also went for a ride on the carousel! We couldn't figure out who won the race though--it was too close to call!

A happy family out for a joy ride!

Michael Codi hated this elephant--especially the noises it would make! He refused to sit on the trunk and when his mom and dad took their turn, he wasn't very happy!

Another picture of Lydia and I riding the mighty elephant! We were Queens of the Jungle for a day!

These two are still loves birds as well! You can't tell from the picture or anything, can you!

I don't know which Mack enjoyed more, the animals and this elephant...or the licorice he was thoroughly enjoying!!

All of together...minus me, the picture taker!

Two peas in a pod...or should I say two yokes in an egg shell!

  1. Looks like you guys had a blast, despite the rain! It was probably not quite as crowded as usual, how fun! Can't wait till Tenaya is old enough to enjoy that stuff :)
